Dagmar Bathmann

Born in Germany she begins her musical training during childhood, with singing, piano and cello.

She studies at the Hochschule für Musik Detmold (Germany) with Prof. Marcio Carneiro and graduates as a cellist in 2013 with Prof. Alexander Gebert. In 2013/2015 she covers the role of principal cellist in the Orchestra dell’Accademia Teatro alla Scala.

Since 2013 she studies Functional Voice Pedagogy, a method devised by Eugene Rabine, with Susanne Eisch (Germany).

As freelance cellist, she collaborates with various orchestras such as the Orchestra dell’Accademia Teatro alla Scala in Milan, the Orchestra Antonio Vivaldi and the Orchestra da Camera Fiorentina. Since 2016 she collaborates as cellist and pianist with the theatre company Lombardi-Tiezzi.

She teaches cello at the Scuola di Musica Artes in Prato and the Accademia Musicale di Firenze and gives singing lessons at the Associazione Filarmonica Pietro Borgognoni in Pistoia.
